Pioneer settlements and colonization processes in the Barents region

Vuollerim 6000 Years has initiated a series of workshops on issues connected with studies of prehistoric hunter-gathere societies in the Barents region. The workshops are planned and implemen ed by a scientific council at the museum and village of Vuollerim in Sweden. The contributions and the results of round table discussions of the workshop in 2003 are presented in: this volume. The members of the scientific council are: docent Kjel Knutsson, Uppsala, professor Roger Engelmark, Umcii, professor Ericka Engelstad, Troms0, professor Milton Nunez, Oulu, and professor Micliail Zhilin, Moskva. The books of workshop proceedings are published and distributed by the Museum Vuollerim 6000 Years, Vuollerim, Sweden.
