Firdi Nifas: Gebeln Harestayn / Vindens dom: den store slangen og bonden

This is a bilingual children’s book which is based on Eritrean and Ethiopian folklore. Written by Nazareth (PhD), a linguist, depicts the interplay of people and animals with their environment. While dealing with an issue of justice for the conflict between the farmer and the snake, it gives a good insight into how people could affect the ecosystem. Published in hard cover, one of the prominent Eritrean artist Ermias gave life to the story with his realistic illustration-cum-paintings.
