Majvor Mäki Sjöberg was born in 1941. She belongs to the sixth generation after Kaunisvaara’s founder, Hans Mickelsson Vänkkö, who was born in 1741. Her two books of poetry, ”Kaunisvaara” (2016) and ”Onämnd, oglömd”/Unnamed, Unforgotten (2018), are collected together in the present English translation by Jan Teeland.
